O sanhaço-de-coroa-branca (Sericossypha albocristata) é um espetacular sanhaço de grande porte das florestas nubladas andinas de altitude. Os machos exibem uma plumagem preta e vermelho-intenso com uma coroa branco-neve deslumbrante — uma das combinações de cores mais marcantes de qualquer ave andina. Ocorre em florestas montanas úmidas entre 1.500 e 3.000 metros no Equador e na Colômbia, no interior das matas em pares ou pequenos grupos, alimentando-se de frutos e grandes insetos no dossel. É classificado como Vulnerável devido ao desmatamento significativo das florestas nubladas andinas.
