지구상에서 성적이형성이 가장 두드러진 앵무새 중 하나인 에클렉투스 앵무(Eclectus roratus)는 수컷이 선명한 에메랄드 녹색인 반면 암컷은 선명한 붉은색과 파란색으로, 차이가 너무 커서 오랫동안 별개 종으로 분류되었습니다. 솔로몬 제도, 뉴기니, 호주 북동부, 말루쿠 제도의 열대 우림 수관에 서식합니다. 널리 사육되는 조류로, 특별한 식이 요구사항이 있으며 번식 시 구멍보다는 굴을 사용하는 몇 안 되는 새 중 하나입니다.

Habitat & Distribution

Inhabits tropical and subtropical moist broadleaf forests and tropical and subtropical dry broadleaf forests spanning the Australasia and Indomalayan realms. Populations are also found in montane and highland environments at higher elevations.
