Arcyria rubrobrunnea is a myxomycete (slime mould) producing reddish-brown to dark brown, cylindrical sporangia clustered on decaying wood in moist forest environments. Its capillitium forms an expanding, net-like structure after the peridium ruptures, aiding in spore release and dispersal. This species is found in temperate and tropical forests across multiple continents.
