Muito apreciado como ave de estimacao pela sua personalidade brincalhona, capacidade de imitar sons e forte vinculo com os proprietarios. Resiliente e adaptavel, e comum em zonas agricolas e e muito apanhado para o comercio de animais de estimacao. Classificado como Pouco Preocupante.
