O papagaio-carirruivo (Hapalopsittaca amazonina) e um papagaio de porte medio das florestas nebulosas de alta altitude e das encostas andinas da Colombia e Venezuela. Possui plumagem verde com uma face e testa de cor laranja-ruivo caracteristica. Habita florestas montanas umidas entre 1.500 e 3.000 metros de altitude e e pouco estudado devido ao seu habitat remoto e ingreme. Classificado como Vulneravel devido ao continuo desmatamento das florestas nebulosas andinas. Realiza movimentos sazonais seguindo a disponibilidade de alimento ao longo das cristas florestadas.
