Uma das maiores amazonas, o papagaio-moleiro (Amazona farinosa) possui plumagem verde-acinzentada sutil com cabeca gris-azulada e um brilho caracteristico empoado ou farinhento nas penas que lhe da o nome. E encontrado em floresta tropical de terras baixas desde o sul do Mexico pela America Central e pela maior parte da America do Sul ate a Bolivia e o Brasil. Habita floresta umida e bordas de floresta, viajando em pares ou pequenos grupos. Listado como Pouco Preocupante globalmente, embora localmente impactado pela perda de habitat e pelo comercio de animais de estimacao.
