Found across multiple habitat types including tropical and subtropical moist broadleaf forests, tropical and subtropical dry broadleaf forests, and tropical and subtropical grasslands and savannas, among 8 distinct biome types. Populations are also found in montane and highland environments at higher elevations.

Green Sea Turtle
A tartaruga-verde (Chelonia mydas) é uma das maiores tartarugas marinhas. Seu nome vem da cor verde da cartilagem e gordura, não do casco.
Porphyrobacter tepidarius e uma bacteria fototrofica anoxigenica aerobia moderadamente termofila, capaz de crescer em temperaturas elevadas, como sugere o nome da especie (tepidarius significando morno). Foi isolada de habitats termais ou de agua doce morna. Como outras especies de Porphyrobacter, contem bacterioclorofila e pode captar energia luminosa como fonte de energia suplementar.
