Coprinopsis pseudofriesii é um pequeno cogumelo tinta relacionado com o cogumelo tinta lanoso, com um chapéu cinza-pálido que se liquefaz ao amadurecer. Cresce em solos muito orgânicos, composto antigo e perto de detritos lenhosos enterrados em florestas temperadas.
