Flagelloscypha punctiformis é um pequeno fungo em forma de cálice peludo com minúsculos apotécios brancos a creme com cerdas distintas na superfície exterior. Cresce em galhos e raminhos mortos de árvores de madeira dura em florestas temperadas europeias. Este ascomiceto saprotrófico decompõe material vegetal lenhoso morto em seu habitat florestal.
