About

コウライウグイス(Leiothrix lutea)は南アジアおよび東南アシアの森林に生息する鮮やかなチメドリ類で、明るい橙赤色の嘴、オリーブ緑色の上面、鮮やかな黄橙色の喉と胸、赤と黄色の翼斑が特徴である。ヒマラヤと中国南部が原産で、愛玩鳥取引によりハワイ、ヨーロッパ、日本に導入されている。林床と林縁で6~30羽の賑やかな群れで生活する。導入域への懸念にもかかわらず世界的に最低懸念に掲載されている。
