La leiotrix de pico rojo (Leiothrix lutea) es un llamativo ave similar a un babilero de los bosques del sur y sureste asiatico, con pico naranja-rojo brillante, partes superiores verde oliva y garganta y pecho amarillo-anaranjado vivo con manchas rojas y amarillas en las alas. Originaria del Himalaya y sur de China, ha sido introducida en Hawaii, Europa y Japon a traves del comercio de aves de jaula. Altamente social, vive en bandadas ruidosas de 6 a 30 aves en sotobosque y bordes de bosque. Catalogada como Preocupacion Menor globalmente.
