About

エクアドルからボリビアにかけての標高2,000〜4,000メートルの草地、低木地、アンデスの垣根に生息する中型のアンデスハチドリで、トレインベアラーハチドリの中で体の大きさに対して最も長い尾である、長く深く二股に分かれた緑色の尾を持ちます。オスは装飾的な尾を後ろに流しながら空中ディスプレイ飛行を行います。多様な花植物で採餌する庭、農業地帯、パラモ林縁を含む半開放アンデス景観で見られます。
