About

現存する最古の栽培バラの一つであるアポセカリーローズは、ヨーロッパと中東で2,000年以上にわたって栽培され、中世の薬草師や香料師たちの主要なバラの花びらの供給源でした。毎春に香り豊かな一重咲きから半八重咲きの深いピンク色の花を咲かせ、カフカスとイラン北部が原産です。花びらは乾燥後も香りを保つため、バラ水、アタール、ポプリの製造に重宝されます。多くの現代バラ品種の先祖となった種です。
