インドオオインコ(Psittacula derbiana)は世界最大級のインコの一つで、独特の青緑色の羽毛、赤と黒の縞模様のくちばし、60cmを超える長くとがった尾を持つ。ヒマラヤ東部、中国南西部、ミャンマー北部の標高1,000〜4,000mの山岳林に生息する。森林破壊と捕獲によって危急種に指定されており、観賞用の鳥として珍重される。血縁ペアが優性繁殖ペアを助ける協力繁殖が知られている。

ダルマインコ

アカムネインコ（Psittacula alexandri）は、バラ色の赤い胸と頬のパッチが緑と灰色の羽毛と対比する中型のインコで、ネパールやインドからベトナム、インドネシアにかけての南・東南アジア全域に分布する。森林、マングローブ、農耕地に生息し、実を結ぶ木や穀物畑に大きな群れを形成することが多い。Psittaculaインコの中で最も分断された分布域の一つを持ち、アジアとヨーロッパで広く飼育されている。
