Biscogniauxia repandaは、枯死した広葉樹の樹皮に子嚢殻を埋め込んだ扁平で地衣状の子座を形成するビン酵母目の菌類です。コナラ、クリなどの広葉樹の枯れ枝や幹に生育し、温帯および地中海の森林に生息します。この腐生子嚢菌は枯死広葉樹を分解し、ストレスを受けたり損傷を受けた樹木に定着します。
