Komodo Dragon
Found across multiple habitat types including tropical and subtropical moist broadleaf forests, tropical and subtropical dry broadleaf forests, and tropical and subtropical grasslands and savannas, among 4 distinct biome types spanning the Australasia and Indomalayan realms. Populations are also found in montane and highland environments at higher elevations.

Achnanthes longipesは粘液柄によって底質に直立した状態で付着する有柄性底生珪藻で、細長い細胞が特徴である。海岸の岩、貝殻、大型藻類などに付着し、海洋沿岸域や汽水域の潮間帯に生息する。この光合成珪藻は沿岸海洋生息地の底生バイオフィルム群集に寄与している。
