Reyranella massiliensis es una alfa-proteobacteria de agua dulce aislada originalmente de un cultivo de amebas, perteneciente a la familia Reyranellaceae. Habita ambientes de agua dulce y puede tener relaciones ecologicas con protozoos predadores. Esta bacteria fue descrita por primera vez a partir de muestras obtenidas en la region de Marsella, Francia, de ahi su nombre de especie.
