La guacamaya de vientre rojo (Orthopsittaca manilata) es una guacamaya de tamanyo mediano de los bosques tropicales, sabanas y pantanos de palmas de America del Sur desde Colombia y Venezuela hasta Bolivia y Brasil. Tiene plumaje predominantemente verde con un parche facial amarillo distintivo y rojo en la parte inferior del vientre. Esta estrechamente asociada con las palmas Mauritia, cuyos frutos constituyen gran parte de su dieta. Anida y se refugia en cavidades de palmas Mauritia, convirtiendola en indicadora centinela de la salud del ecosistema de pantanos de palma. Catalogada como Preocupacion Menor.
