Pedobacter kyungheensis es una bacteria gramnegativa en forma de bastón, aislada por primera vez de suelo cerca de la Universidad Kyung Hee en Corea del Sur. Habita en suelos agrícolas y naturales templados del este de Asia. Este quimioheterótrofo aeróbico descompone materia orgánica y polisacáridos en su hábitat edáfico mediante la producción de enzimas extracelulares.
