Pseudoxanthomonas taiwanensis es una bacteria gramnegativa pigmentada de amarillo, descrita por primera vez en suelos de Taiwan. Produce pigmentos carotenoides caracteristicos y ha sido aislada de ambientes terrestres subtropicales. Este quimioheterotrofo aerobio degrada materia organica en suelos y habitats relacionados.
