Pseudoxanthomonas taiwanensis is a yellow-pigmented, Gram-negative bacterium first described from soil in Taiwan. It produces characteristic carotenoid pigments and has been isolated from subtropical terrestrial environments. This aerobic chemoheterotroph degrades organic matter in soil and related habitats.
