Paramero Rabihorcado
Un colibrí puffleg andino que toma su nombre del característico muslo negro aterciopelado de los machos, que contrasta con los blancos penachos de plumas en las patas, los puffleg muslenegro habitan bosques montanos húmedos y bordes de bosque en Ecuador y Colombia a altitudes de 1.500 a 3.500 metros. Los machos exhiben un brillante plumaje verde con cola violeta-azul. Catalogada como Casi Amenazada debido a la deforestación del bosque nublado andino, con poblaciones en declive a medida que el hábitat especializado de alta montaña es talado para uso agrícola.
