Perico barrado
El catita barrada (Bolborhynchus lineola) es uno de los loros más pequeños del Nuevo Mundo. Habita bosques montanos húmedos de América Central y del Sur, desde el sur de México hasta el oeste de Ecuador, a altitudes de 1.200 a 3.000 metros. Su característico plumaje verde con barras negras proporciona un excelente camuflaje en el dosel arbóreo. Forman pequeñas bandadas que se alimentan de semillas y bayas, a menudo en bambuzales. Silenciosos y discretos para ser loros, permanecen poco estudiados en el medio silvestre y son mantenidos por algunos avicultores.
Gorila Occidental
