Panda Gigante

El panda gigante (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) es un animal emblemático de China, célebre por su pelaje blanco y negro y su dieta basada casi exclusivamente en bambú. Su estado de conservación es vulnerable (VU), es el animal bandera de la conservación internacional de la vida silvestre, y su población ha experimentado cierta recuperación en los últimos años.

Physarum pusillum es un pequeno mixomiceto (moho de fango) que produce minusculos esporangios de color palido sobre material vegetal en descomposicion y corteza en ambientes boscosos humedos. Su nombre refleja su tamano diminuto en relacion con otras especies de Physarum. Como sus parientes, pasa por una fase plasmodial de alimentacion antes de formar estructuras reproductoras, y se distribuye en varios continentes.
