Peronospora debaryi is a downy mildew oomycete pathogen that infects plants in the carrot family (Apiaceae), causing yellowing and distortion of infected leaves with a greyish downy growth on lower surfaces. This obligate biotroph completes its life cycle within living host plant tissue. It is found across temperate regions wherever susceptible host plants grow in moist conditions.
