Novosphingobium soli is a gram-negative bacterium in the family Sphingomonadaceae, originally isolated from soil. Members of this genus are known for their ability to degrade aromatic compounds and are widely distributed in terrestrial environments. Its conservation status is not evaluated.

Sphingomonas panni is a yellow-pigmented, Gram-negative aerobic bacterium first isolated from a nylon-degrading environment. It inhabits industrial and contaminated soil environments where synthetic polymers may be present. This bacterium degrades nylon oligomers and participates in the breakdown of synthetic organic compounds.
