Micromonospora aurantiaca is an orange-pigmented actinobacterium in the family Micromonosporaceae, commonly isolated from soil and aquatic sediments. It produces a single, non-motile spore and is known for its capacity to produce diverse secondary metabolites. Its conservation status is not evaluated.
Micromonospora halotolerans is a salt-tolerant, filamentous actinobacterium forming orange to brown aerial mycelium with single spores. It inhabits coastal soils, saline sediments, and halophyte-associated environments. This chemoheterotroph degrades complex polysaccharides and other organic substrates, producing bioactive secondary metabolites including antibiotics.
