Habitat & Geographic Range
Javan Rusa
Found across multiple habitat types including temperate broadleaf and mixed forests, tundra, and tropical and subtropical moist broadleaf forests spanning the Australasia and Afrotropic and Oceanian realms.
Distributed across Mauritius, New Zealand, and Norway. Currently classified as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List, this species faces significant conservation challenges across its range.

Lysinibacillus macroides is a Gram-positive, endospore-forming bacterium in the family Planococcaceae, characterized by relatively large rod-shaped cells among members of its genus. It is aerobic to facultatively anaerobic and is found in soils, water, and decaying organic matter. Like other Lysinibacillus species, it is distinguished from Bacillus by its Lys-Ala cell wall peptidoglycan structure.
