Red-crowned Parakeet

A small, bright green parakeet with a vivid red cap and cheek patches, red-crowned parakeets are endemic to New Zealand where they inhabit forest from sea level to alpine zones. Highly adaptable, they forage on seeds, flowers, fruit, and insects.
