Habitat & Geographic Range
Galapagos sea lion
Found across multiple habitat types including tropical and subtropical dry broadleaf forests, flooded grasslands and savannas, and deserts and xeric shrublands within the Neotropic biogeographic realm.
Distributed across Colombia and Ecuador. Currently classified as Endangered on the IUCN Red List, this species faces significant conservation challenges across its range.
Native to Asia, inhabiting ecosystems characteristic of the region.

Staphylococcus lentus is a coagulase-negative Gram-positive coccus primarily found on the skin of domestic animals including sheep, goats, and pigs. It inhabits the skin and mucosal surfaces of various mammalian hosts. This slow-growing commensal bacterium rarely causes disease but is occasionally isolated from animal skin infections.
