Flagelloscypha punctiformis is a minute, hairy cup fungus with tiny white to cream-colored apothecia bearing distinctive bristle-like hairs on the outer surface. It grows on dead branches and twigs of hardwood trees in temperate European forests. This saprotrophic ascomycete decomposes dead woody plant material in its forest habitat.
