Fischer's Lovebird
A small, brilliantly colored lovebird native to the savanna woodlands and forest edges around Lake Victoria in Tanzania and Kenya, Fischer's lovebirds have green body plumage, vivid orange head and throat, and bright red bill. They form strong pair bonds, constantly preening each other — the behavior that gave lovebirds their name. Listed as Near Threatened due to heavy trapping for the global pet trade.
