Populations are also found in montane and highland environments at higher elevations.
Widely distributed across Africa (27 countries), Asia (17 countries), Europe (6 countries), North America (5 countries), Oceania and the Pacific (5 countries), and South America (Brazil, Colombia, Guyana).
