This graceful woodland plant is typically found in shaded, moist deciduous forests, woodland margins, and hedgerows, preferring humus-rich, well-drained to moderately moist soils. Its geographic range extends across temperate Europe, including Belgium, Denmark, Finland, and Ireland, as well as parts of Canada and the United States. The arching stems bear alternating, broadly elliptic leaves and hang pendulous, tubular white flowers with green tips in late spring. Comoro Flying Fox
