Common Cusimanse
<em>Crossarchus obscurus</em>, commonly known as the common cusimanse or long-nosed cusimanse, is a small social mongoose in the family Herpestidae. This species is native to the rainforests and dense tropical forests of West and Central Africa. Common cusimanses are highly social animals that typically live in family groups and forage cooperatively on the forest floor, using their elongated, flexible snouts to root through leaf litter and soil in search of invertebrates, small vertebrates, and fallen fruits.
