Cochabamba Akodont

The Cochabamba akodont (Akodon siberiae) is a small South American rodent endemic to the Cochabamba department of Bolivia. A member of the speciose genus Akodon — the so-called grass mice — this species inhabits humid montane grasslands and shrublands in the Andes, typically at elevations between 2,500 and 3,800 metres.
