Rhynchostegium confertum, the clustered feather moss, is a pleurocarpous moss in the family Brachytheciaceae distributed across Europe, where it grows on rocks, walls, tree bases, and compacted soil in a variety of habitats including woodland, gardens, churchyards, and urban environments. The plants form dense, bright green to yellowish-green mats with pinnately branched stems bearing small, ovate-lanceolate leaves.
