Cliff Case-bearer
The Cliff Case-bearer, Coleophora species, is a small micro-moth in the family Coleophoridae whose larvae construct and carry portable, protective cases made from plant material, silk, and their own excrement, hence the name case-bearer. The larvae feed within these cases on the leaves or seeds of specific host plants, often grasses or forbs growing on cliff faces, rocky slopes, and coastal headlands.
