The Chinese Pangolin (Manis pentadactyla) is a species in the genus Manis. It is currently classified as Critically Endangered on the IUCN Red List.

Sphingopyxis chilensis is a gram-negative, aerobic bacterium in the family Sphingomonadaceae, originally isolated from environmental samples in Chile. Like other members of the genus, it is characterised by sphingolipid-containing cell membranes. Its conservation status is not evaluated.
