The Cape Mole-rat (Georychus capensis) is a species in the genus Georychus. It is currently classified as Least Concern (LC) on the IUCN Red List. Typically found in diverse terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.

Sphingomonas pseudosanguinis is a Gram-negative aerobic rod resembling but distinct from blood-associated sphingomonads. It has been isolated from hospital environments, clinical specimens, and diverse soils. This aerobic chemoheterotroph is occasionally an opportunistic pathogen in immunocompromised patients.
