The Cabrera s Vole (Microtus cabrerae) is a species in the genus Microtus. It is currently classified as Near Threatened on the IUCN Red List. Typically found in diverse terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.

Pseudoxanthomonas taiwanensis is a yellow-pigmented, Gram-negative bacterium first described from soil in Taiwan. It produces characteristic carotenoid pigments and has been isolated from subtropical terrestrial environments. This aerobic chemoheterotroph degrades organic matter in soil and related habitats.
