Lysinibacillus macroides is a Gram-positive, endospore-forming bacterium in the family Planococcaceae, characterized by relatively large rod-shaped cells among members of its genus. Like other Lysinibacillus species, it is distinguished from Bacillus by its Lys-Ala cell wall peptidoglycan structure.
