The Broad Skate (Amblyraja badia) is a species in the genus Amblyraja. It is currently classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List. This species is recognized for its ecological significance within its native range.
Vibrio mimicus is a Gram-negative, curved rod closely related to Vibrio cholerae but biochemically distinct. It inhabits coastal seawater, estuaries, and shellfish in warm tropical and subtropical marine environments. This facultatively anaerobic bacterium can cause gastrointestinal illness in humans who consume contaminated raw seafood.
