The Brazilian agouti (Dasyprocta leporina) is a species in the genus Dasyprocta. It is currently classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List. Inhabits tropical and subtropical moist broadleaf forests within the Neotropic biogeographic realm.
Sphingomonas pseudosanguinis is a Gram-negative aerobic rod resembling but distinct from blood-associated sphingomonads. It has been isolated from hospital environments, clinical specimens, and diverse soils. This aerobic chemoheterotroph is occasionally an opportunistic pathogen in immunocompromised patients.
