Lysobacter concretionis is a gliding, Gram-negative bacterium notable for its production of lytic enzymes capable of degrading other microorganisms. It has been isolated from soil and sediment environments with high organic content. This predatory bacterium feeds by lysing other bacteria and fungi, releasing their cellular contents.
