The Blackthorn Mining Bee (Andrena varians) is a species in the genus Andrena. It is currently classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List. Distributed across Denmark, Luxembourg, Norway, and Sweden.
Erythrobacter nanhaisediminis is a gram-negative, aerobic bacterium in the family Erythrobacteraceae, isolated from sediment in the South China Sea (Nanhai). Like other Erythrobacter species, it produces carotenoid pigments that give colonies a distinctive orange-red colour. Its conservation status is not evaluated.
