Lysobacter dokdonensis is a gliding, Gram-negative rod first described from Dokdo Island, South Korea, reflecting its geographic isolation site. It inhabits coastal and marine-influenced soil environments. This chemoheterotrophic bacterium produces lytic enzymes to break down macromolecules in its marine-influenced habitat.
