<em>Infundibulicybe gibba</em>, commonly known as the common funnel, is a saprotrophic fungus in the family Tricholomataceae. It has been documented in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and the United States, and is known to occur more broadly across temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere. The species typically inhabits forest floors and areas with decomposing wood and leaf litter, where it plays a key role in breaking down organic matter and recycling nutrients. <em>Infundibulicybe gibba</em> produces characteristic funnel-shaped fruiting bodies, typically pale buff to pinkish-tan in color, with deeply decurrent gills running down the stipe.
