<em>Rhoicissus tridentata</em> is a woody climbing plant in the family Vitaceae, order Vitales, commonly known as the common forest grape or bushman's grape. The species is classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List. <em>Rhoicissus tridentata</em> is native to sub-Saharan Africa, where it typically grows in forest margins, thickets, rocky outcrops, and riverine woodlands. It climbs by means of tendrils, often scrambling over shrubs and into tree canopies. The plant produces small, dark purple to black berries that are edible and have been used as a food source by indigenous communities across its range. Leaves are trifoliate — composed of three leaflets — a feature reflected in the species epithet "tridentata." The roots of this species have been used in traditional medicine in southern Africa for a variety of ailments.
