Cortinarius bivelus is a mycorrhizal agaric fungus in the family Cortinariaceae, assessed as Data Deficient (DD). Like other members of the genus, it forms ectomycorrhizal associations with forest trees and produces a characteristic cobweb-like cortina veil when young.
